Come enjoy the sun and the shore while sailing! This special once only this summer class consisits of a full 5 day course while living aboard! Monday and Tuesday you will sail w/ Capt. Frank Muratore on his meticulous Catalina 34 "Prime Time" while covering the ASA-103 Basic Coastal Cruising curriculum. Days 3-5 will be on board our Maine Cat 41 "Kathleen D" w/ Capt. Tracey Dell for a two night, away from the dock Live Aboard / Cruising experience. Sleeping accomodations are included on the Kathleen D for Monday and Tuesday night at no additional cost for those taking the full 5 day program! Sleeping accomodation and provisions are included on the 3 day trip aboard the Kathleen D. This is an opportunity to get aboard a passage north on one of the world's premiere cats with experienced instructors! Each leg promises to deliver "real world" experience, both offshore and via the ICW. Guests should expect overnight sailing, watchstanding, sail handling, anchoring, steaming / handling under power and navigation with both paper and electronic chartplotter / radar.
If you desire to take a boat offshore and travel the Intracoastal... To see what challenges await a vessel and her crew at sea... Then this is the adventure and education you have been looking for!
The vessel sails rain or shine and students should expect a wide variety of sailing conditions. Bring appropriate clothing, personal safety equipment, medicines and hygiene articles for a few continuous days at sea.
